Sharon is a Senior
Trainer with Next Level Performance Group, an organizational development
consulting and training firm based in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Sharon’s diverse experiences from working in the political arena,
non-profit and for-profit organizations strengthen her ability to
connect with people from similarly diverse backgrounds. Sharon
regularly uses high-energy activities to open dialogue within a group.
Sharon launched her
career in Washington, DC as a congressional aid to then-Representative
from Wyoming Dick Cheney. She refuses to take credit for his rise in
the political community. From 1990-1993, she supported the U.S. Olympic
Committee in Colorado Springs as a trainer in the Information Technology
group.
Prior to joining Next
Level Performance in 2002, Sharon worked as a Senior Trainer with
INVESCO Mutual Funds in Denver in the Human Resources Training and
Development Group, starting in 1993. Sharon designed and facilitated
various programs including Customer Service, Conflict Management, Mutual
Funds Essentials, and Retirement Planning. She is most proud of
initiating and implementing a computer-based training platform which is
still used in the organization. In January, 2004, Sharon facilitated a
performance development training in Spanish for FMC’s Latin America
business.
Sharon graduated from
the University of Wyoming with a Bachelor of Arts degree in
International Relations. She studied Latin American politics in Buenos
Aires, Argentina and is proficient in Spanish. Sharon attended UW on an
athletic scholarship and was named an Academic All-American Track and
Field Athlete.
Sharon enjoys playing
the piano as well as playing in the outdoors with her husband, Tom, and
little son, Collin. International travel is her passion and she once bicycled—self
supported—through Central America.
