Stuart P. Parsons
Professional Focus: Organizational and Individual Alignment; High Performance Teams, Executive & High Potential Coaching
Stuart joined the Next Level Performance Group in 2008. He brings with him the real world leadership experiences of aligning business units and inspiring employees to act.
Prior to becoming an external development trainer and coach, Stuart spent over ten years as a manager in the public and private sectors. His past positions include corporate governance, finance, strategic planning, and business development. He brings an uncommon breadth of cross-cultural experiences having worked with Australian, North American, European, UK, South African and Asia-Pacific corporations.
After shifting careers and moving into organizational development, he has provided guidance to several corporate and academic leadership programs. Among them are: the UBS Global Leadership Development program in Hong Kong, London, Zurich, and New York. He has been faculty for executive education in the International Business, Education & Research (IBEAR) program at University of Southern California’s Marshall School of Business as well as at Dartmouth College in the Tuck School’s Executive Education Program. He designed and delivered the Duke Fuqua School of Business’s Integrative Leadership Experience MBA program. He also worked annually on the PriceWaterhouseCoopers’ New Partner Program and PwC’s Quality Lens and University 2 programs. He is currently on staff as an executive coach with McKesson Technologies and Waste Management.
Originally a trained chef prior to earning an Accounting and Finance degree, Stuart has enhanced his academic studies in the areas of Business Management and Business Psychology. He is qualified to administer the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). As a coach to executives and high-potential people, he frequently integrates assessment, behavioral feedback and personal developmental planning. He works with a variety of feedback tools and processes.
Stuart is an avid yachtsman and has competed in many short and long distance offshore yachting races around the globe-as both crew and Captain. He enjoys weaving his extensive sailing experience, including a few crisis situations, into metaphorical learning experiences with his clients. He currently resides in land locked Crested Butte, Colorado-which, of course, makes perfect sense to an Australian. If you are feeling bold, ask him the difference between a yachtsman and a sailor.
